Well, Joe Oliver will be giving a sharpening workshop
Thursday evening 6:15-7 pm
upstairs at the Gorman to get you off to a good start in your sharpening career.
 
This workshop is open to anyone interested in learning about how to sharpen speed skates for themselves now or in the future. Bring any sharpening equipment you have. We will be working on club skates or bring your own. If you own no equipment, come anyway and try on the club ​j​ig. Spectators welcome as well.

CELEBRATING AND SENDING OFF OUR CANADA WINTER GAMES ATHLETES

COME JOIN US THIS SATURDAY- 10:30 a.m. at the Gorman WHEN WE CELEBRATE THE COMMITMENT AND HARD WORK OF OUR CANADA WINTER GAMES SKATERS . 
 
Over the past two years a group of our skaters have been involved in high level training to prepare their minds and bodies for Canada Games this February. They have all grown as athletes and as people over that time and we are very proud of them. 
 
During the Canada Winter Games -February 13th-20th in Prince George, BC – there will be 4 skaters from our Club who will compete for New Brunswick in long and short track speed skating- Paul Tremblay, Ian Verschoor, Danielle Dumouchel and Maggie Oliver. We want to give them a bit of a send off Saturday and wish them well.
 
Join us – 10:30a.m.- Team demonstration on ice (before Group 3 classes begin)
                                       – Followed by Cake and Presentations upstairs. 
 

                        (We have prepared cards and posters for each of the team skaters and are collecting well wishes-Add yours by coming up to the Office before the demonstration)
