Canada Youth Short Track Championships Camp

– Saint John March 12th and 13th, 2022

The camp is open to all athletes who are Canada Youth age-eligible. Female athletes are eligible only if they are between the skating ages of 11 to 14 years old. Male athletes are eligible only if they are between the skating ages of 12 to 15 years old. There is no time requirement to attend, all are welcome!

Where: Charles Gorman Arena, Saint John & Milledgeville North Elementary School

When: Saturday March 12th 9:15 am – 5:00 pm Sunday March 13th 8:15am-2:00pm

This camp is designed to help athletes prepare for the CYSTC competition at the end of March but also for any future competition. Focus will be placed on relay preparations and proper warm ups and cooldowns throughout a competition. Athletes will have an opportunity to have their equipment checked (bend and rocker) as well as going through sizing for Team NB skinsuits to be worn at CYSTC.

A detailed camp schedule will be sent to those registered on March 10th. The camp will start at the Charles Gorman Arena on March 12th at 9:15am.Registration will close on Friday, March 4th, 2022. St. Croix Blades FUNdamentals Meet

The St. Croix Blades will be hosting a FUNdamental event on February 27th from 9:00an-12:00 at the W.C. O’Neill arena in St. Andrews NB. We encourage all skaters who can skate at least one full lap without falling to participate. Athletes should skate no faster than 50 seconds in the 400 m on the 100m track to participate. Any skaters 12 and over must be fully vaccinated. The cost is $15 per skater or $25 per family.

Tuesday February 1st for groups 1 & 2

Saturday February 5th for groups 3, 4, 5 & 6

Sunday February 6th for group 7

Masks will be mandatory on and off the ice along with all previous public health requirements. Please watch for updates as we try to add additional lessons. We can’t wait to see you all on the ice again!

Level 3 Restrictions

ALL LESSONS are cancelled until JAN 31 2022 due to NB Public health level 3 guidelines.

Groups 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7

With organized sports for children under 12 still not permitted in the province of New Brunswick, practices for groups 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 will be cancelled until further notice.
