To ensure the safety of our skaters in groups 3, 2, and 1, board pads are mandatory at all practices. These pads are a crucial safety measure, designed to cushion falls and protect athletes from injuries against the rink boards. Given our limited volunteers and time, we require parents’ assistance at every practice. Your help in setting up the pads at the start and taking them down at the end is essential and directly contributes to the well-being of all our skaters.
An approved helmet is required for all parents and skaters assisting with board pads while on the ice. Those without a helmet can still assist by carrying the pads to the ice surface.
As groups 3, 2, and 1 practice together on the same evenings, we will always set up the full board pads. Please refer to the right side of the diagram below for details.
